Ice is the Devil.

I totally bit it this morning walking to my DART station. I saw the ice and tried to adjust for it to no avail. Thankfully I didn't tear my pants. The highlight of the experience was the woman walking in front of me telling me "I fell very gracefully" and threatening to sue... After all DART should have de-iced! She told me she worked for a law firm. I laughed and told her I was a lawyer. Rest assured I do not intend to sue DART.

The sad part is I even wore flats to keep from falling... The silver lining is it would have been much worse if I had been in heals!

You know how we tend to go through similar life circusmtances simultaneously? Well today i was in the stairwell in the parking garage at work (the stairwell is open and often welcomes in a little rain, flurries or in today's case, ice).

Im walking down the stairs rather quickly since i was running a little late. (also note that there was also a rather fetching young doctor walking a few steps ahead of me, so i was also a little bit distracted:).

Of course, as I continue to walk down the stairs, my foot caught a slippery spot and I fell...tried to catch myself before completely hitting the ground, but no...i fell and I fell hard.

To make matters worse, the fetching doctor heard me tumble and quickly turned to see me awkwardly trying to regain my footing. At least he tried to help me back up.. even though i was totally embarrassed:)

So yeah.. i agree. Ice is the devil.

Love you friend.

All I have to say is I need you to be able to stand, and walk in mine and David's wedding. BE CAREFUL!!! Flats only from now until the 24th of January. And just for good measure, no getting out of the house on ice days, and be careful on your stairs at your parent's house.

I will do my best Melissa! Though I don't know why you don't want me walking down the isle in a cast. Instant conversation for your guests!

And Amber it is funny that we have such similar timing in so many aspects of our life. Yours could have been bad with the stairs... I am glad the doctor was there to help you. :)
