Rodeo- Pat Green
On Friday night I went to the Rodeo for the second time this season and was not disappointed! We got there early enough to walk around before the rodeo and have dinner. We went into the room with all the baby animals and shops. It was ridiculously crowded but fun none the less. Although there is a rather disgusting video of a baby cow being born. We tried to avoid watching it as much as possible but I caught Abby after she got a brief glimpse. Haha! The video probably was more horrifying for her since she is pregnant at the moment!
We then proceeded to our seats, which were wonderful! We were right behind the calf scramblers!!! We all picked a kid to cheer for... Mine did not get a cow, but it was fun none the less and I am happy to report no one was trampled too badly on Friday. The other exciting part was when a bull practically jumped out of the stall into the audience... Everyone in the front several rows jumped back. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture. We then listened to about half of Pat's set before heading to the carnival.
We walked around the entire carnival to find our favorite ride... the tilt-a-whirl! I rode with Leslie and as always, it was a blast. We took several pictures... The one below is our scared face but I think it looks more excited... Can't help it though... We were riding the TILT-A-WHIRL
The only sad thing about the Tilt-a-whirl is it discriminates against singles. If it wasn't so amazing, I would boycott it...
After the Tilt we went to the fried goodness stand and all got fried snickers. They are still by far my favorite fried treat! If you missed my plea to try them last year... I re-issue it. Try one! So good!!! Amber was at the rodeo with her brother and met up with us after we finished our fried treats. She got some Fried Oreos (even after I told her the Snickers was better) and gave me one of them. It was better than last year but still can't touch the Fried Snickers which is worth ever calorie... and I am sure there are a lot of calories in it. :)
All in all it was a fantastic rodeo season. Can't wait till next year!!! Thank you Rodeo Houston!
