D-town

I spent the weekend in Dallas with my parents and a few close friends. All in all it was a very relaxing weekend, which I desperately needed! I rode down with Mel on Thursday night after I got out of my 8pm class. We ended up getting to Dallas around 12:15am. Have I mentioned I don't love night classes, because I don't. At least this is my only one ever! Mel and I had a great talk on the way home. Even if it was a late night convo.

On Friday I spent some time with my Daddy in the morning. He went with me to run a few errands. Then I caught up with Emily (one of my best friends from high school who is in town from Emory for the weekend) at our usual Starbucks. I went to her house afterwards and got to meet her boyfriend. They have been dating for over five months and I am just meeting him. Crazy! He seems like a really nice guy though and I am looking forward to getting to know him better. :) Afterwards, I went over to Erin (my best friend from college) and Jason's for dinner and a movie. Jason made cranberry and turkey risotto and it was quite tasty. We watched the 300 and I was impressed. It is bloody but all around a good movie. Erin made note of its historical accuracy and while I don't remember my Spartan history it seemed fairly accurate. :) I spent the rest of the night catching up with Erin. I made it home around 1am. :)

On Saturday spent the bulk of the day with my parents. My mom made me biscuits, sausage and gravy. My mom and I went to see the Nanny Diaries (which is alright, but the book is much better). For dinner my parents made me steak and a baked potato (my favorite meal in the world!) and we watched Blades of Glory. I think the family consensus is that it was a better movie than we were expecting, but our expectations were not that high. ;) I laughed quite hard a few times but I don't know that I would watch it again. After dinner I went to look at a house that Erin and Jason are thinking about buying. It was so cute and I thought it would suit their personalities very nicely. I will let you know what they decide to do about the house when I know more.

As for today, I got up and ate breakfast with my parents. I am now blogging about the weekend festivities. Afterwards I plan to get ready and head over to Mel's house so we can journey back to H-town. I am excited about another four hour car ride with Miss Melissa Wallace. Tonight I will head to night church and try to catch up on some schoolwork. Know I have the best intentions of getting some studying done today, but I have yet to get any done this weekend so we will see if today is any more fruitful.

I was so glad to see you. I just don't get to spend as much time with you as I would like. I guess that is every mother's lament. I am glad you had a good time and I hope you have a great week.

Love Ya!

I'm so sad we didn't get to see each other yesterday, but hopefully you were able to study because of it. Love you!!
