P90Death
On Monday night, one of my very best friends Amber came to Dallas to hang out with me! She is on a quick tour of all the places she recently lived before she heads back to Houston to start working for Texas Children's again. Dallas was her first stop. I took yesterday off work and spend the day with her. We slept in, ate Chuy's, ran some errands, got coffee (green tea latte for me), talked and worked out (much more on that below). I thoroughly enjoyed your visit Amber. I have missed you friend!
Amber and one of her friends decided to devote 90 days of workouts to P90X. If you have not heard of it, it is a workout program with a different 60-75 minute workout every day of the week. One day a week consists of an hour of stretching, but the other 6 days are pretty intense workouts. She had to complete two workouts while she was at my house and I (being such a good friend) decided to workout with her. The workouts were insane. If I ever want to torture someone, I am going to use P90X. I am ridiculously sore today.
But (shockingly) I have decided to devote the next 10 days to P90X. (10 days because I leave for my family vacation in 11 days and I don't plan to take the workouts with me.) Though I am sore and tired, I feel more awake and motivated (and hungry... I mean starving all day long... I have got to get my appetite in check). Having been quite lethargic lately and unable to motivate myself to spend even 30 minutes at the gym or in front of the TV doing 30 minute shred, I needed to break the cycle. I figure if I can get my butt in gear for 60-75 minutes for a week and a half, hopefully I will be able to find 30 minutes to workout after my self-inflicted boot camp.
We will see. Either way, hopefully it will help me get out of my blog funk. I don't think I have ever gone this long between posts before. Clearly my recent lethargy extended further than physical activity.

Yikes! I hear P90x is crazy intense. Good luck!
Wow! I've heard it's a nutty workout. Excited to hear how it goes!
I have several co-workers who are all on a P90X kick. I have done it about 3 times with my workout buddy during our lunch break, and it was pretty intense. I could barely move after the plyometrix day. Jump squats are evil!
